Cologne, our favorite trade fair, the world´s largest trade fair in the fitness, wellness and health care sector has been cancelled. But don´t worry, the fair will take place.

Like many other industries, we have learned from the pandemic - Corona crisis. "Everything will be different" under this claim, so many trade fairs have had to bow to it and are now striving to keep the masses despite corona. With a richly filled program the FIBO lovers are now digitally fitted :)

NEW DATE: 1. - 3. October 2020.
Great relief at FIBO: with the decision of the North Rhine-Westphalian state government that trade fairs may be held again from 30 May onwards, the course for staging FIBO was also set. This means that the world´s biggest trade show for fitness, wellness and health, which had been postponed at the end of February to the new date in October, can now be held as a trade show. Unfortunately, this year FIBO has to remain closed to the general public.

"After the lockdown of the last few months, which has existentially affected large parts of the industry, the decision for FIBO sends out a signal. It will be marked by a new orientation which will provide impulses for revitalization. This makes it all the more important to launch a ´special edition´ before the regular FIBO 2021," says Silke Frank, who has experienced in recent weeks in many discussions with customers and associations how great the need and necessity for back-to-business initiatives is.
FIBO always takes place in April, usually around 2 - 5 April at the Cologne Exhibition Centre. More than 1,1oo exhibitors and 15o,ooo visitors from more than 13o nations cavort there. The numbers are increasing from year to year and make Cologne a fitness stronghold.
Now it has happened, what SARS or terrorist attacks did not manage to do has hit FIBO very hard for fear of the corona virus. Precor President and Amer-Sports Executive Rob Parker addresses customers and partners with a personal letter: "Due to great concerns about COVID-19 we have now made the difficult decision not to participate as exhibitors at FIBO 2020 in Cologne. We are disappointed, but we have made this decision out of protection for our customers, employees, partners and their families. The whole team hopes that the threat of the corona virus will quickly decrease in all countries," they say.
NEW FIBO-DATE: 1. until 4. October 2020
Numerous trade fairs are closed, postponed or cancelled these days. Recently, the Cologne Trade Fair Centre cancelled the hardware fair planned for 1.3.2020. Further cancellations: Analytica in Munich, Data Festival in Munich, Hannover Messe, Hub.berlin and Big-Data.AI Summit, Tube in Düsseldorf, book fairs and even the ITB have fallen victim to the corona virus. The fear of contagion is great and especially in our EMS area it is easy to understand that with the onslaught of visitors and exhibitors from all countries the risk can increase immensely.
The number of visitors would also shrink considerably if the trade fair were to be held at that time. After the organisers had cancelled the original date of the Cologne fitness trade show Fibo in April due to the spread of the coronavirus, there is now a new date for FIBO. This year, it will take place from October 1 to 4, 2020. It is pointed out that the Cologne health authorities had also recommended not to hold any trade fairs with international participation for the time being. According to the organisers, tickets already purchased remain valid.
